ROD exhibition programme

ROD Prague is an active intercultural community space where books, workshops, conversations, children's activities and art meet. Our exhibition programme gives artists the opportunity to show and sell their work in a space where it becomes part of everyday community life. The programme is particularly open to beginning and early-stage artists, while applications from artists at other stages of their practice are also welcome. To get a better feel for the space and imagine how your work might look at ROD, have a look through the photos on our Facebook page.

SUITABLE WORKThe space is primarily suitable for small to medium-sized, exhibition-ready 2D works that can be hung on the wall: paintings, photography, prints, graphic art, drawings, other two-dimensional works or mixed-media pieces that can be safely displayed using the existing hanging systemROD is not a traditional white-cube gallery. The exhibition walls are part of an active community space with bookshelves, books, plants and other visual elements. As children and families regularly use the space, exhibited work must be suitable for a family-friendly community environment.ROD currently offers approximately 5.4 m of display space on one wall and 5 m on another. A hanging system with strings and hooks is available. Final selection, number and placement of works will depend on their dimensions, weight and the available hanging system.Installation is carried out by the artist in coordination with ROD. Any alternative installation method must be agreed in advance.
